Our Story
Coastal Reconstruction Group is a family-owned and operated construction company with origins in Texas and headquarters in Longwood, Florida. Since 1986, our mission has been to transform community-focused properties across the Southeast — and across the country — into safe, beautiful spaces.
We specialize in occupied renovations, capital improvement programs, adaptive reuse, and reconstruction for senior living, multi-family housing, hotels and resorts, healthcare, and restaurants. Our capabilities span general contracting, design-assist, value engineering, project estimating, due diligence, and construction management.
Emergency response is the fifth piece of that platform, not a separate business. When storms, fires, or unforeseen events hit a property we already know how to build, the same general contractor stabilizes the loss and carries it through to fully operational.

Founder & Chairman
With more than 40 years of construction experience, Scott founded Coastal Reconstruction Group as a commercial general contractor serving owners across renovation, reconstruction, and emergency work. He is active in 19+ trade associations and a sought-after authority on capital planning, insurance mitigation, and disaster preparedness.
President / Owner
Third-generation owner Creston brings two decades of hands-on and executive experience — from field labor and estimating to sales and organizational leadership. Under his guidance, Coastal serves clients across the Southeastern U.S. with contractor licenses in more than 32 states.
Executive & Board Member
A seasoned executive with 30+ years across Fortune 500 companies, private equity, and middle-market firms, Shel guides strategy, fiscal oversight, leadership development, and long-term growth.
Vice President
Greg brings 15 years of jobsite-first experience — from framing and site work to superintendent, project management, and now overseeing all field production for Coastal.
Estimating Manager
20+ years across residential and commercial construction. A licensed residential contractor, Derek currently oversees a team of 4 estimators producing $150 million in renovation estimates annually.
Construction Manager
With over 20 years in the construction industry, Bret oversees projects from start to finish — ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction at every step.
Remediation Manager
With over a decade in commercial property recovery, James leads our emergency response division — stabilizing water, fire, and mold events and handing them cleanly to our reconstruction teams.
Construction Coordinator
Skylar started with Coastal as an intern while earning her Bachelor's (Cum Laude) in Construction Management. Eight years in, she supports both finance and pre-construction.
